My port of call for this week is Camarillo, CA to give a Lightroom full day workshop to Photographers at Channel Island Professional Photographers Association. We have a really great group today with so many photographers eager to learn Lightroom and finding new ways how to organize their digital life. Thank you all you who were in my class, and for of you who cannot make it, well there’s always next time, so sign up early when the next opportunity comes! Cheers!

Besides going to photographed in the downtown areas or the area surrounding the city that I’m visiting, I also photographed from the car or bus or train or airplane windows. Here are some of the images that I got going to from St. Cloud to Minneapolis Airport. I love these images because well they are panoramic-ish, the sky look awesome, there’s snow (no snow here in California) and lots and lots of silos. I just love how they look, now just give me a bride and we got an award winning image

Another successful workshop down and my next port of call lined up. Thank you all of the attendees for that came to my workshop to learn about Lightroom. The program went really well and the crowed was great and I’m sure they learned quite a bit too. Here’s to a great group!

Part of what I like to do in my lectures is go out and photographed the city the scenery and the city life or in this case the snowy winter land, St. Cloud Downtown at night. Some interesting images here, most of them got processed in black and white because of the lighting condition. But man just look at the sky, I mean for 10:00 pm, to get this kind of sky is just awesome. Enjoy!

Ok this is the last posting about the past 2010 Professional Photographers of California Convention. With all of the amazing programs and great volunteers (pad on the back to y’all and myself); I’ve captured so many great images from the convention that tells many of the great stories and conversations that happened during the event. So for yours and my enjoyment, I’ve put together a slideshow to recap it all. To access the slideshow you may click here or on the image below or go to www.wedding64.com/2010ppc Enjoy!

Beside capturing memories at wedding, I am also highly involved with the state organization for professional photographers as well. Hence my role at the annual convention as the official photographer. The link to the gallery below are posted for my photographer friends, who had worked so hard and done so much to get to where they are to receive such prestigious awards. Congratulations to all of you, and thank you for having me capture your best memories (man I like my tag line).

We’ve come down to the final stretch of the convention in Pasadena, to end the convention with a bang, we started out the morning with a program from Scott & Adina Hayne, and wrap it up with all our vendors at the trade show floor.
Well since it is our last day at the convention it is only appropriate that the feature image of this posting be this one. So from our volunteer staff at PPC and the convention in Pasadena, we’ll see you again August 12-15, 2010 in San Francisco!

We are almost to the last stretch on the convention end. Monday will be the absolute last day of the convention, so come join us and meet up with us for some last minute fun.
Day 3 of the convention we started out the morning with Mark Brandes and Tim Mathiesen, then follow by a program by Scott Robert Lim, Jamie Hayes & Mary Taylor Fisk. It was the 2nd day of the Trade Show, and we ended the day with a bang at the Super Bowl PARTY!!!
Yes, I am the official photographer for the convention, and some might ask, “Art how did you get photographed?” Well, I have to say that is a good question, actually Jim Paulingus took this photo of me while I was not look or rather while I was playing with the WII at the Super Bowl Party. I look confused and intrigued at the same time, what a concept.
Great convention with one more day to go, let us finish strong!

The reason why I am able to get the images from every day of the convention posted on-line so quickly is because of Lightroom, I cannot tell you enough how it changes the way in which I work with my images. I shoot all of the images for the convention in RAW format by the way. That and I don’t really sleep, get out of the road, I’m driving, just kidding on the last two parts.
So 2nd day at the convention, we started the morning with our early birds programs by Patricia Mathis and Yogi Patel. Then to our morning program by Carl Caylor, Kevin Ames and then wrapping up the day with a up lifting and inspirational program by Arthur Rainville. Also today way the PPC & Western State Awards Presentations which I got some group shots below, and 1st day of the Trade Show, very great products from numerous vendors, gotta love it.
Such enthusiasm, every one should enter the trade show this way. At least that is what I think people should do. Cheers! More images below click on the thumbnails to view the images large.
